So I am currently on holiday and I have been trying a different way of reading.
Anybody who has ever looked at My GoodRead Page will know that I have a tendency to start books and then move on to next without finishing them. Bad habit but I tend to get bored easily.
So what I am trying now to have two on the go at once. One fiction book for when I want to relax and One Non-fiction book for the time1.
My Non-Fiction book is ‘Know This‘ edited by John Brockman. One hundred and seventy-five of the world greatest mind were asked ‘What do you consider the most interesting recent [Scientific] News?’ It can be a scientific discovery, shift in perspective or even no discovery at all. It just has to be something that interest them. I really enjoying it so far even though I do not understand most of the physics stuff. This is the question for 2015 2 from edge.org. Edge.org asks a different question each year.
My fiction book is Leviathan Wakes. The main reason I am reading this one is I really enjoyed the first season of The Expanse from Syfy. Enjoying its space opera world and the characters. Some more than others but the main mystery is cool.

As an aside. I am also reading a number of larger books at the same time. The big book of science fiction edited by Ann and Jeff Vandermeer and the Elements Encyclopaedia. I mention this as I have found it to be quite over whelming due to their size and I do not want to feel like I am forcing my self to read them.
To combat this i have been some old single-use bookmarks I got from Waterstones many moons ago. So I thought if this become a more regular thing it might a good idea to get replacements. Well I can from amazon for £720(used). And that price has gone down as when I first checked it was £1700(used). Luckily ‘Knock Knock’ the company that makes them has different versions that are a more reasonable cost of £4.95
