Just a quick shout out to Grammar Girl.
Being Dyslexic I have to say I have difficult relationship with grammar. I know I need it to help me with getting my point across but I also know it is an area that is a great weakness of mine. So when I came across Grammar Girl’s podcast which broke down the grammar concept into easily digestible chunk that even i could understand so i thought “fantastic.”
So check it out.
Just a quick one today.
Been looking into improving my writing craft and have been listening to a lot of writing pod cast. The more I read and listen the I get feeling that a lot of them aren’t in it to help you but make them selfs feel better. A lot don’t seam to have a constant content or themes and it feels that they are just rambling on. Worst of all they haven’t been updated in a while. I’m not going to name names but you have to feel that you being led somewhere for a reason but a lot of them don’t give this impression.
Two of my favourites so far are Writing Excuses and Inside Creative Writing.
The first is a great enable piece. In which the group bounce ideas of each other to get to the nub of what they are talking about. Because of their different strengths and weaknesses they complement each other well. Also it short at a concise 15 minutes long, which great for not taking to much of your time :-).
The second is a great for being in depth on one subject and not drifting. It lead by brad reed who seem to know what he is talking about but does not to claim to know it all. Also his voice sounds good which helps as it is a larger 30-40 minutes long.
That’s what I found so far but I will up date as find more.

Well I have just ordered my copy of Shadowrun Returns.
Only found out about its successful kick-starter campaign was completed in april last year. To say I was a little shocked was a understatement. I been a fan of shadowrun for a long time. Ever since i played the SNES version back in the nineties. It blow away and made me aware of cyberpunk. So for that I’m incredibly  grateful.

The new version is being made by Harebrained Schemes under the control of the Shadowrun original creator no less.
They have also made Crimson Pirates As well which is quite good :-).
Well I’ve got my self on those Evernote smart notebook to see how it turns out. I’ve always enjoyed useing the Moleskine note books. Partly to do with the way feel as I write, partly to do with they seem to last better than most of the other note books and partly because i’m a little bit pretentious 🙂 (the first step to becoming better is admitting you have a problem).
With my note that i’ve had for a while they have become terribly unorganised as i just write what i’m thinking at the time. So the thought of being able to organise on line and search thorough my hand written note is quite appealing. So have got one the latest Moleskine smart note with Evernote integration. i’ll try use it regularly and put my thoughts on here as to how well they work. Never used evernote before to so that should be quite informative as well :-).
