So let’s test

I have moved to a new webhost. There should be no change for anybody reading it but I have had a bit of a strain getting it up and running.

I will say that my new host Tsohost has been fantastic. Both Dave who helped with a website file issue and Rossy C who sorted out my website migration were brilliant.

I’m going to try cobble together a post for tomorrow.

So if you are seeing this that means everything is working.

Which is good.

Well now I need a new host.

So I have prevaricating and procrastinating about which web host to move my website to but now I have had the decision taken out of my hands.

I still have a issue when I upload my pictures to here. And when I was looking into a new host I found that the Renewal for my current host will be in august and they require thirty days notice or they will charge to full amount.

So my procrastination will have to stop.

I am going to go with Tsohost to start with. Whilst searching I came across Krystal Hosting as well and they seem very good.

But this does mean that I will have to sort out and there might be down time. Not that I think many people will notice. I notice and that is the point.

I will up when there is more news.

A Slightly Vexing Situation

For a while now I have had problems uploading pictures to my website.

I put it down to latest update of WordPress not working with my version of Safari. As it would work with chrome or mobile Safari.

But it turns out that it was a bit more severe than that. I can no longer upload any picture as I get an error that my server has run out memory.

I have contacted my web host for a support and a kind gentleman called Bogdan has increased my memory limit from 8MB to 128MB which apparently the limit of my hosting account.

This has not fixed the issue and I have to wait and see if Bogdan has any other option.

So I am now looking for hosting alternative.

I could go for SquareSpace is site but as I have three website I’ll need their Business plan which is €18 a month.

Another option is WordPress.com account. This starts at £2.50 but I need to pay for website I have with them. And the to use any additional features of WordPress.com it would start from an additional £7.08-£20.83 per website.

Another problem with these solutions is I would have to start my website from scratch. No old posts and no third party plugins.

Well I will have to keep searching whilst I wait for an answer from Bogdan.
